He and Pat were faithful members of Emmanuel Chapel for many years before attending Hillcrest Baptist Church. Dean loved God with all his heart and there is no doubt he is now spending eternity in Heaven with Jesus.
Dean owned and operated Derby Gas Station, along with various other jobs in the community. He also owned his farm and raised cattle. He was a hard worker and enjoyed what he did.

Dean loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, and taking vacations to Colorado where he enjoyed being outdoors and making memories with his family.
His life rotated around his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved them all so much and attended their activities and events any chance he could. He was a wonderful husband and a great father figure to Lynn and Lea Ann. The love he showed and lessons he taught his family will be remembered for years to come.
A memorial to the Dotson Cemetery has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
