Loren H. Oberbeck (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Loren Henry Oberbeck, son of Henry and Ruby Lucille Anglen Oberbeck, was born June 22, 1949, in March, Missouri. He departed this life Thursday, November 12, 2020, in his home, near Phillipsburg, Missouri, at the age of seventy-one years, four months, and twenty days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Herman Oberbeck; a daughter, Michaela Gail; his step-father, W.O. Campbell, his step-mother, Elizabeth Oberbeck; and an infant niece, Carrie Beth Caudle.
Loren is survived by two daughters, Dana Hammill, and her husband, Tommy, of the State of Iowa and Stacy Collison and her husband, Wayne; two sons, Christopher Oberbeck, and his wife, Jennifer, of the State of Illinois, and Andrew Oberbeck, of Davenport, Iowa; ten grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Oberbeck, and his wife, Ruby, and Lester Oberbeck, all of Phillipsburg, Missouri; a sister, Carolyn Caudle, and her husband, Lavon, of Phillipsburg, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in the Conway community, and attended Conway Schools. He then moved to Davenport, Iowa where he worked for Alcoa, Inc. in Riverdale, Iowa for several years. He then began a career as a truck driver owner operator and worked for thirty five years in the trucking industry. After retiring, he moved back to the Conway area where he made his home.
He professed his faith early in life and was prepared to meet his maker.
He enjoyed working on cars and tinkering with them. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed having time with them as often as he could.
Loren was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
