He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Larry Dewayne Ince and Randall Ince; three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Carter, Emma Elaine Ince, and Katherine Ince. On June 9, 2004 he was united in marriage to Shawna Lea Compton, and together they have shared the last three and a half years. Ray is survived by his loving wife Shawna, of the home; a son, Jacob Johnson, of Aurora, Missouri; his brothers and sisters, Sue Russell and her husband Danny, of Seymour, Missouri, Thomas Ince and his wife Jackie, of Alva, Oklahoma, Sherry Collins and her husband Richard, of Rich Hill, Missouri, Bill Richard Ince, of Alva, Oklahoma, Lena Merritt and her husband Bobby, and David Ince and his wife Susan, all of Seymour, Missouri, and Gerald Ince and his wife Lisa, of Cedar Gap, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. He grew up in Seymour, Missouri and lived most of his life there except for fifteen years that he lived in Mountain Grove, Missouri where he was employed by Brown Shoe Company. Ray had accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized on December 12, 1999 at the Seymour Nazarene Church. He was known as a practical joker by his family and many friends. Ray was thankful to God for giving him a son and a wonderful wife to make his life whole and complete. He cherished them both with all his heart and spent his last years trying to be the best husband and father he could be. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and lived for deer season, he also loved to go mushroom hunting and playing with his dog “Sadie.” Ray was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and a caring friend and neighbor. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories that he created for his family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2008, in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be in the Star Cemetery East of Seymour.
