Loren Schnebly (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Loren Schnebly, 79, died August 4, 2017, in Columbia, Missouri. He was born October 25, 1937, in Buffalo Center, Iowa, to Ralph and Eleanor Schnebly.
He grew up and graduated from high school in Thompson, Iowa. He spent two years in the Army during the Cuban Crisis and the Berlin Crisis.
He married Sharon Leitch in Horton, Kansas, October 27, 1963. They lived in many towns around the Midwest before settling in Wetmore, Kansas, in 1966, where he worked for JBN Telephone Company for twenty-five years. He enjoyed woodworking and was a member of several civic clubs and also was a City Councilman for several years.
After retiring in October 1993, the family moved to the Lake of the Ozarks area in Missouri, where he enjoyed fishing, being a docent and member of the Camden County Historical Society and Museum, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his son Michael and wife Mary of Eudora, Kansas; his son Curt and wife Heather of Camdenton; his son William of Linn Creek; grandchildren Lillian and Dylan; sister Magella Flugum of Lake Mills, Iowa; sister Kathryn and her husband Lew Brewster of Atwater, California; sister Leona Guzman of Merced, California; brother Dexter and his wife Ralphine Schnebly of Wichita, Kansas.
