On December 5, 1958 she was united in marriage to Alvin “Duke” Dunbar and to this union two sons were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duke, on June 9, 2014; son, Jeff; brothers, Orden, Donald, James, and Dale; sisters, Bonell and Betty. Faye is survived by her son, Russell Dunbar and wife, Ruth, of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Matthew Dunbar and wife, Tanya, Alex Dunbar and wife, Kelsay, Lindsey Casey and husband, Gary, Candace Dunbar and Drew Dunbar; twelve great-grandchildren, Kylar, Braelyn, Natalie, Lane, Brooklyn, Violet, Ava, Kenna, Alora, Rowyn, Novah and Kently; several step-grandchildren; brother, LZ Brooke and wife, Vernie, of Mtn. Grove; brother-in-law, Ralph Dunbar and wife, Margo, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was born at Bryant, south of Mansfield, and in the early 1950’s the family moved to California. Faye and Duke met and married in California and then moved to Colorado. In 1966 they moved to Mansfield where they lived the rest of their lives. Duke was a journeyman pipefitter/plumber and his job took him many places around the country building water towers. That left Faye to raise the boys and take care of the farm while Duke worked away from home. Faye had attended the Mansfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church until her health failed. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, going to Branson for the music shows and traveling. Faye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and a caring neighbor and friend. Her life was centered around her family and she greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We celebrate her life and will always treasure the many special times we had together.
