She was born in California, and then lived in Oklahoma for a time, before moving back to California where she was raised by her maternal grandmother. After she and George were married, they made their home in various locations both stateside and overseas, while George was serving in the United States Navy. Throughout her life she was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, and was a supportive military wife. In 1978, Lorraine and George retired to Falcon, Missouri.
Lorraine was an active member of the Lebanon Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She belonged to the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Red Hat Society of Falcon. In her spare time she enjoyed painting both in watercolors and in oils. She liked bird watching and particularly loved her hummingbirds. She was very deeply into genealogy, and had worked many years on tracing her and George?s family trees. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lorraine was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout the years.
