Lorraine Skinner (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Lorraine Marie (Blakey) Skinner was born on May 31, 1953 in Lebanon, MO to Everett and Doris (Judy) Blakey. She departed this life on December 8, 2019 at 66 years of age in her home near Elkland, MO.
Lorraine was raised around the Lebanon area and most of her education she attended Phillipsburg and Conway Schools. She was united in marriage to Darrell Wayne Skinner on November 1, 1974. Together they raised three children, William Grant Massey, Dennis Wayne Skinner, and Rebecca Marie Skinner and one grandchild, Amber Lynn Skinner.
Lorraine was employed at H. D. Lee for several years in Lebanon, MO. She later worked for the Dallas County R-1 School District as a Bus Driver for 13 years until her retirement in 2015. She loved her school kids and touched the hearts of many throughout the years. Spending time with her family and friends brought much joy to her life. She always looked forward to having get-togethers, playing with her grandkids, and card games on Sunday afternoons. She had the most caring heart and a smile that would light up the room. Lorraine was baptized on June 11, 1976 and attended meetings at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Buffalo, MO.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Blakey and Doris (Judy) House and her grandparents, Ralph and Grace Judy. She is survived by her husband Darrell of the home; her three children, William & wife Julie Massey of Grays Summit, MO, Dennis Skinner and Carla Libby of Elkland, MO, and Rebecca Skinner of Elkland, MO; four grandchildren, Amber Skinner of Buffalo, MO, Amanda & husband Steven Drysdale of Springfield, MO, Maggie Keller of Grays Summit, MO, and Wyatt Grupe of Grays Summit, MO; four great-grandchildren, Jalynn Dennis, Zoie Dennis, Chloie Drysdale, and Kaedon Drysdale; and one sister, Bonnie & husband Herb Lappin of Elkland, MO. She also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
Cremation rites were accorded under the care and direction of the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Buffalo, MO.
