Louetta Denny's Obituary
Louetta Denny, daughter of Elzie and Iva Jane Moore Conn, was born March 22, 1922 in Laclede County, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, January 9, 2008 in Windsor Estates, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of eighty-five years, nine months and eighteen days. On October 23, 1946 in Baxter County, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to John Curtis Denny and to this union there were two children. Together they shared thirty-two years until his passing in 1977. She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Dennis, Donald, James, Delbert; an infant twin sister and a daughter-in-law, Maggie Gregory. Survivors include her sons, Euin Junior Gregory and wife, Barbara, and Jerry Denny and wife, Linda, all of Camdenton, Missouri; five grandchildren, Vicki Hopkins and husband, Aubrey, of Kansas City, Missouri, Curtis Gregory and wife, Linda, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Larry Denny and wife, Anna, DeAnna Denny and Dianna Johnson and husband, Adam, all of Camdenton, Missouri; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two brothers, Eugene Conn and wife Jean of Richland, Missouri and Vernon Conn of Concordia, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lou was raised in Laclede County, Missouri and attended school there. She continued to live there until her marriage to Curt when they then made their home in Camden County. Besides being a devoted wife and mother, she worked for a time as a packer for Blair Cedar. She made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Horeb Missionary Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing and gardening. Every fall she looked forward to deer hunting season. She never carried a gun, but enjoyed going out in the woods. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. She created many beautiful memories for her family and friends and we will treasure them all forever. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2008, in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Burial will be held in Mt. Horeb Cemetery, Decaturville. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri. Return to top
