Louise Lynch's Obituary
Louise Mizer Lynch, daughter of Eber and Fanny Winfrey Waters, was born September 1, 1920, near Eldridge, Missouri. She departed this life Saturday, April 3, 2010, in St. John’s Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-nine years, seven months, and two days. In 1939, she was united in marriage to Floyd Mizer, and to this union one son was born. Mr. Mizer passed away in 1990. On December 10, 1994, Louise married Roy G. Lynch, and they shared the last fifteen years. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her twin brother, Loran Waters; and a sister, Lucille Tasker. Louise is survived by her husband, Roy, of the home; a son, Paul Mizer, and his wife, Patty, of Lebanon, Missouri; two grandsons, Richard Mizer, and David Mizer, both of Springfield, Missouri; three step-daughters, Barbara Wright, and her husband, Jerry Wright, Jr., of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Janice Meyers, and her husband, Doug, of Topeka, Kansas, and Donna Quick, and her husband, Dennis, of Kansas City, Missouri; a step-son, Glen Lynch, and his wife, Georgian, of Hendersonville, North Carolina; a number of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Eldon Waters, and his wife, Jeannie, of Ozark, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in the Eldridge community, and then lived most of her life in the Lebanon area. After she and Floyd were married, they made their home near Lebanon, and lovingly raised their son. Throughout the years, Louise was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, and also worked in the housekeeping department at the Best Western Wyota Inn Motel for several years. After she and Roy were married, they made their home in Lebanon, and enjoyed their retirement. Louise was a member of First United Methodist Church and attended Hayes Street Church of Christ for the last eighteen years. In her spare time she enjoyed antique hunting, shopping, going to garage sales, and collecting “whatnots”. She loved her family dearly and the two great loves of her life were her grandsons. Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday April 7, 2010 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in the Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday evening 6-7:30 p.m. under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.
