Lovnia Daniels (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Nella Lovnia Daniels, daughter of William Henry and Mary Ellen Caffey King, was born February 24, 1920, near Brush Creek, Missouri. She departed this life Monday, October 15, 2012, in Christian Health Care North, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-two years, seven months, and twenty-one days.
On February 28, 1937, she was united in marriage to Clarence Daniels, and to this union nine children were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence, on October 18, 1982; two daughters, Iris Sue Daniels, and Bonnie Griffin; a son, Charles Daniels; four brothers, Sam, Joe, Bill, and Clayton King; two sisters, Lottie Carlson, and Flossie Crisp; four sons-in-law, David Rogers, Gene Love, Gene Griffin, and James Keen; a granddaughter-in-law, Mary Griffin; and two great-great-granddaughters, Autumn Garner, and Ciera Rogers.
Lovnia is survived by five daughters, Barbara Rogers, Dorotha Keen, and Martha Love, all of Lebanon, Missouri, Gearlene Griffin, of Grovespring, Missouri, and Marilyn Daniels, of Springfield, Missouri; a son, Donald Daniels, and his wife, Ruth, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son-in-law, Lee Griffin, of Lebanon, Missouri; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; thirty-one great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Anna Lois King, of Phillipsburg, Missouri, and Ella Mae King, of Morgan, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Brush Creek, Missouri area. Soon after she and Clarence were married, they made their home, near Lebanon, Missouri, and lovingly raised their children. Throughout the years, Lovnia was a devoted and hardworking homemaker to her husband and family.
Lovnia was saved and baptized in the Phillipsburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
In her spare time she enjoyed painting, sewing, cooking, and listening to Bluegrass music. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and all of her great-grandchildren.
Lovnia was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, great-great-great-grandmother, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends.
