Lucien Lawrence, Jr. (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Lucien Lawrence died at home on January 11, 2022. There will be memorial service in Whiting, NJ with internment in Piscataway, NJ. He was born on May 10, 1925 in North Dighton, MA to Lucien Lawrence Sr. and Augustine (Cote’). He was also known as Junior and BBL (Big Bad Lu). He lived in Tauton, MA, Newark, NJ, Elizabeth, NJ, Piscataway, NJ, Whiting, NJ and Lebanon, MO. He is survived by his 2nd wife, Arleen (Malloy), a brother Robert Lawrence and his wife Patricia of Garwood, NJ, a daughter JoAnn Lee and her husband Thomas of Richland, MO and a son Glenn Lawrence and his wife Theresa of Lebanon, MO, his grandchildren Rebecca Lawrence, Kathleen Thomas and her husband Mat, Gregory Lawrence and his wife Megan, and Daniel Lawrence and his wife Elizabeth, and eight great grandchildren. He is pre-deceased by his parents, his 1st wife Dorothy (Zygala), his brothers Raymond and George and sisters Margret Lamont and Edna Gonsaules.
After serving in a mortar platoon as a Marine in the Pacific and then China, he worked at Harris Structural Steel in South Plainfield, NJ for 37 years as a template maker. Dorothy and he built their own house in Piscataway. He became a Christ follower in 1991 and then a member of Whiting Bible Church where he also served as a caretaker. He met Arleen at Crestwood Manor and married March 31, 2012. He enjoyed hiking, camping, woodworking, photography, reading, and telling stories and jokes.
Services for Mr. Lawrence will be held in New Jersey.
Arrangements are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
