Lucile Martin's Obituary
Lucile May Martin, daughter of Melvin Olye and Vivian Blanch Madison Stangeland, was born August 2, 1933 in Worthington, Minnesota. She departed this life Tuesday, November 28, 2006 in Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy-three years, three months and twenty-six days. On June 22, 1952 in Worthington, Minnesota she was united in marriage to Donald Dean Martin and to this union four sons were born. He preceded her in death on November 18, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her four sons, Michael Dean Martin and his wife, Lorraine, of Forrest Lake, Minnesota, Randall Neil Martin of Camdenton, Missouri, Bradley J. Martin of Sunrise Beach, Missouri and Gregory O. Martin and his wife, Mary Kay, of Lacrosse, Wisconsin; five grandchildren, Ryan, Rachelle, Katharine, Marissa and Nicole Martin; four sisters, Arlis Reeverts of Owatonna, Minnesota, Carol Parker of Gresham, Oregon, Janice Rosenberg of Worthington, Minnesota and Meredith Ferguson of South Hempstead, New York; a brother, Maynard Stangeland of Thousand Oaks, California; and a host of other relatives and friends. Lucile was raised in Worthington, Minnesota and graduated from high school there. She was later married and she and her husband settled in Winona, Minnesota where they lovingly raised their four boys. In 1983 they moved to the lake area. She worked as a real estate agent in the lake area for many years. She was a member of the Laurie Garden Club and loved spending time gardening. She also enjoyed remodeling projects. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Lucile was a loving mother, grandmother and sister and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2006, in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Memorials to S.T.A.F.F. may be made through the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
