Lucile Snodgrass (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Lucile Snodgrass, 101, Bolivar, MO passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 at Park View Health Care Facility.
Lucile was born September 4, 1916 in Los Angeles, CA to Frank and Leona Cromwell. She moved to South Dakota with her mom and step father Raleigh Arnold, where she later met and Married Lyle Snodgrass in McIntosh, South Dakota in 1933. The couple had five children and settled in Missouri in 1947. Lucile was a strong willed woman who’s love and dedication to her family never wavered. As a hard worker she led by example for her children and grandchildren. Being blessed to have lived such a long life Lucille had the pleasure of enjoying many hobbies in which she was very talented in many. She loved crafting, crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She watched Jeopardy almost every night and with having read every book at the Polk County Library she could answer a majority of the questions.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Snodgrass, parents and three grandsons, Stephen Dotson, Kent Dotson and Greg Snodgrass.
She is survived by her five children, Richard Snodgrass of Springfield, MO, Dolores Dotson and her husband Donald of Brighton, MO, Thomas Snodgrass and his wife Kay of Springfield, MO, Lyla Weatherly of Halfway, MO and Maryanne Courtney and her husband Randy of Aldrich, MO; sister, Betty Fox of Fair Play, MO; nine grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 26 great-great grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandson.
