Lucille I Hurst (Seymour)'s Obituary
Lucille Irene Hurst, daughter of Frank and Ada Mae Welch, was born December 1, 1928, in Boone County, Missouri, and departed this life on June 3, 2015, in Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of eighty-six years, six months and two days.
She was united in marriage to William “Bill” Seth Hurst and to this union four children were born. Bill preceded her in death on April 15, 1987. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanne Mincks; two granddaughters, Sherri Lynn Hurst and Tonya Mincks; a grandson, William Mincks; four sisters, Chloe Mae Sauder, Ruby Caldwell, Lorene Alexander, and Pauline Johnson; and two brothers, Floyd and Arthur Welch. Lucille is survived by three daughters, Marcella Todd and husband, James, of Seymour, Missouri; Lana Hulsey and husband, Tony, of Springfield, Missouri; and Joyce Cornelison and husband, Robert, of Fordland, Missouri; four granddaughters, Lisa Cornelison of Republic, Missouri; Nicole Kemp and husband, Mark, of Springfield; Christy Easley and Darrell Moore, of Seymour; Sonia Bradley and J.W. Ince, of Springfield; four step-grandchildren, Julie, Cindy, James, and Niki; fifteen great-grandchildren, Jessica, Katrina, Justin, Kaleb, Chandler, Kadin, Devin, Emily Jonathon, Curtis, Raelyn, Derek, Kayla, Zoe and Dyllon; four great-grand “babes”, Noah, Luke, Cadan, and Cara Jane; two great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Bill Mincks of Diggins, Missouri; and other relatives and many friends. She was born in Boone County, Missouri, and moved to Seymour with her family as a child and lived all of her years in the Seymour area. She retired from the H.D. Lee Factory in Seymour where she worked for 24 years. She then volunteered at the Community Christian 25¢ Store in Fordland for 13 years. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, country music, and garage sales. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and “little babes”. She helped raise her first granddaughter and considered her like another daughter. Lucille was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will always cherish the many wonderful times we had together.
Memorial donations may be made to the Community Christian 25 Cent Store (in Fordland)
and left at the funeral home.
