Lulla Kephart (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Luella Effie Purinton Kephart was born Dec 15, 1919 at Collyer Kansas to Ray and Leona Ward Purinton. She died at home October 23, 2018 in Buffalo, MO.
Luella was married to Hollie Lee Kephart October 23, 1938. To this union three children were born. Robert Lee Kephart, Ruby Carol Wallace and Cleo Mae Schneider. She was a homemaker and nurse. She enjoyed making quilts on which she won several ribbons. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Buffalo, MO. Luella was an active member of several quilt groups. She was also a lifetime member of the Eastern Star and a member of the D.A.R.
Luella was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Leona Purinton; her husband Hollie; one daughter, Cleo Mae; one son-in-law, George Wallace; one sister and husband, Ruby and Elmer Cue; and one brother and wife Leonard and Irene Purinton. She is survived by her son Robert; daughter, Carol Wallace; granddaughter, Kim Routt & husband Melvin; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin Routt & wife Miranda and BJ Routt & wife Sharon; one great-great-granddaughter, Bristol Routt; and one sister, Hazel Mae & husband Sam Rocco. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and host of friends.
Local arrangements were under the direction of the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Interment will be in Collyer, Kansas on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
