Lydia Miriam Rea (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Lydia Miriam Rea was born January 23, 1992 in Greenville, South Carolina to Lyman and Jewel Pape Rea. She passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026 at her home in Lebanon, Missouri at the age of thirty-four years, sixteen days.
Lydia is preceded in death by her sister, Priscilla Rea; her maternal grandfather, James Pape; and two uncles, David Sharp and John Bennett.
She is survived by her son, Samuel Davy; her mother, Jewel Rea of Lebanon, Missouri; three sisters, Naomi Sexson and her husband Joe of Vilonia, Arkansas, Hannah Judd and her husband Matt of Greenbrier, Arkansas and Abigail Rea of Camdenton, Missouri; eight brothers, Caleb Rea and his wife Alicia of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Enoch Rea and his wife Jheri of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Abel Rea and his wife Jenny of Ventura, Iowa, Elijah Rea and his wife Chrissy of Wake Village, Texas, Gideon Rea and Silas Rea and his wife Allison, both of Texarkana, Arkansas, Micaiah Rea and his wife Brittni of Collinsville, Oklahoma and Uriah Rea of Fayetteville, Arkansas; her maternal grandmother, Arla Pate; her aunts, Jayne Sharp, Becky Bennett and Rachel Anderson and her husband Jim; and other relatives and friends.
Lydia moved with her family to Arkansas when she was four years old. In 2003 they moved to Lebanon and she graduated from Lebanon High School. Lydia worked at several locations in Lebanon, including her time as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), hauling automobiles, and for the past three years has been a cashier at Express Stop.
Lydia had a big heart and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. She enjoyed doing crafts and spending time with her family. Most of all, Lydia loved her son. He was her world and she loved being his mother. She found joy in life’s simple blessings and enjoyed making memories with her family and friends that will be treasured forever. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Funeral services for Lydia Rea will be Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mountain Creek Cemetery in Eldridge, Missouri. A memorial has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
