Billie grew up working on the farm in Iowa. On August 14, 1986, he was baptized and had a relationship with his Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister at birth, Patty Rogers and his sister, Phyllis Ross; and brothers-in-law, Jack Ross and Dean Kenney.

Billie was a very kind and tenderhearted man. He helped so many people and said ‘yes’ to everyone. He was loved by all.
He could fix anything – cars, tractors and mowers. He fixed things for family, friends and neighbors. In addition to fixing things, he enjoyed gardening flowers, doing yard work, drawing, carving and woodworking. He also loved to fish and enjoyed going to the river as much as possible.
