Lynn E. Johnson (Urbana)'s Obituary
Lynn Evoynne Johnson, age 80, of Urbana, Missouri, entered into rest on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri.
Lynn was born on January 14, 1945, in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Lloyd and Ethal (Crain) Morgan. On June 15, 1962, Lynn was united in marriage to Troy Dale Johnson. To this union, three children were born: David Joseph, Kimberly Joan, and Shannon Dale. Lynn was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and canning. Lynn was always on the hunt for her next great find, frequenting many area thrift stores. Lynn enjoyed watching college basketball, cheering on Duke, and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs Fan.
Lynn was preceded by her parents, brother Otis Morgan, three sisters: Virginia Edge, Opal Hood, and June Gillotte. She is survived by her husband Troy Johnson, three children: David Johnson and wife Shelly, Kimberly “Kimie” Ashlock and husband Ken, and Shannon Johnson and wife Lori, seven grandchildren: Derek Still, Faith Turner and husband Brylie, Cody Johnson, Gracie Johnson, Joshua Fitzwater, Jessica Thomas and husband Austin, and Morgan Johnson, three great grandchildren: James Thomas, Ryan Thomas, and Beckham Johnson, one sister, Rita Bennett, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and beloved friends.
Services are scheduled for 11 am on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home, Urbana, Missouri with Pastor Tony Butcher officiating. Visitation will be held immediately prior to service, beginning at 10 am. Following all services, Lynn will be laid to rest at Olive Point Cemetery near Urbana, Missouri.
