Mabel Aline Capps (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Mabel Aline Capps passed away on July 26, 2024 at the age of Ninety-Six years, Seven months, and Six days.
Mabel was born on December 20, 1927 in Hartville, Missouri. She was proceeded in death by her parents, father Lawrence Eaton and mother Martha Eaton (Hurt); her husband, George Capps; and five brothers, Harden Bohannon, Allen Bohannon, Orville Bohannon, Morris Davis, and David Eaton; five sisters, Pearl Hill, Eula Hill, Mamie Ortner, Thelma Fowler, and Rosie Corder.
She is survived by her daughter, Judith Capps of Jefferson City, Missouri; grandson, Stephen Coulter of Lombard, Illinois; sister-in-law, Lucille Eaton of Camdenton, Missouri; many nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Mabel was united in marriage on October 19, 1946 to George until his death in July, 1986. During their life together they were active in the Community of Christ Church (formerly the RLDS Church). She taught Sunday School and they were involved and leaders in scouting programs and other youth programs. Later after moving to Jefferson City, she became an active member of the Cole Spring Baptist Church in Russellville, Missouri where she became friends with many of the caring members.
Over the years she was employed with two or three department stores and later employed by the Federal Government as a file clerk in Kansas City, Missouri.
Mabel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed many craft projects.
Funeral Service will be held at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri followed by interment at Ozark Memorial Gardens in Rolla, Missouri. Date and times to be announced.
