Madonna M. Wolff (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Madonna Marie Wolff was born August 17, 1930 to Edward T. and Clara Hefner on a farm near Easton, Minnesota. She passed away September 8, 2024 in Mercy Hospital in Lebanon, Missouri. She was ninety-four years and twenty-two days of age.
Madonna grew up in Easton and graduated from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Grade School in Easton and Good Counsel Academy in Mankato, Minnesota. Following graduation she was employed in a law office and later in the A.S.C.S. office in Blue Earth, Minnesota.
On November 24, 1956, she was united in marriage to the love of her life and best friend, Walter Wolff. They resided on a farm near Easton.
In 1982, they made the decision to retire in Lebanon, Missouri for the warmer climate. When they arrived in Lebanon, they joined St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church where Madonna would quickly get involved with the Parish Council of Catholic Women as well as other organizations within the church.
Madonna was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Clara; her loving husband of over forty-one years, Walter, who passed away April 20, 1998; her brother James Hefner and his wife, Jean; her brothers-in-law Francis, Anthony and Frederick Wolff; two brothers-in-law Albert Wolff and his wife Clara and Ralph Wolff and his wife Dorothy; and her sister-in-law Rita Eckmann and her husband, Martin.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Dolores Wolff of Winnebago, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews.
Madonna enjoyed her church family and the friendships she made there. She was a delightful person to be with and she will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
A memorial mass will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lebanon. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
