Mae B. Milligan's Obituary
Mae B. Milligan, daughter of Ray Reed and Geneva Belle McComas Fitzwater, was born November 30, 1919, in Oak, Nebraska. She departed this life Wednesday, August 8, 2007, in Doctors Hospital, Springfield, Missouri at the age of eighty-seven years, eight months, and eight days. On October 16, 1937, she was united in marriage to Dwight Lee Milligan and to this union one daughter was born. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight, on March 9, 1994; her parents; a son-in-law, Dennis Pulkrabek; an infant grandson; two sisters, Florence and Opal Kubicek; and a brother, Cecil Fitzwater. Mae B. is survived by a daughter, Shirley Pulkrabek, of Springfield, Missouri; three grandchildren, Denise Williams, and her husband, Mark, of Battlefield, Missouri, Pam Norris, and her husband, Rick, of Republic, Missouri, and Michael Pulkrabek, and his wife, Carol, of Republic, Missouri; five great-granddaughters, Sara Baty, Brittany Pulkrabek, Abby Jo Norris, Emily Norris, and Alexa Elliott; two great-great-grandchildren, Jordan and Grant Wells; a sister, Lillian Jensen, of Superior, Nebraska; two sisters-in-law, Ethel Young, and her husband, Johnny, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Korena Sanders, and her husband, Paul, of Windsor, Illinois; two brothers-in-law; Bert Milligan, and his wife, Helen, of Seymour, Missouri, and Dempsey Milligan, and his wife, Darlene, of Sterling, Colorado; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. She was born and raised in Nebraska and moved as a teenager to Seymour. In 1959 she and Dwight moved to Springfield, where she worked for Royal Typewriter. Then following Dwight’s death in 1994 she moved back to Seymour to make her home. After her health began to fail, she then moved to Republic to be closer to her daughter. Mae B. made her profession of faith in Christ on April 8, 1985. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, making beautiful quilts and loved spending time with her family. Mae B. was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and aunt and was caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2007, in the Seymour Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour, Missouri.
