Manuel Bingham's Obituary
Manuel Eugene Bingham, son of James Oscar and Johanna Vinsand Bingham, was born May 7, 1924, near Oakland, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, April 22, 2007, in Christian Health Care South, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-two years, eleven months, and fifteen days. On May 6, 1950, he was united in marriage to Anna Mae Savage, and to this union two daughters and one son were born. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anna Mae, on May 26, 2004; a brother, Marlin Bingham; and two sisters, Pauline Brown, and Irene Blankenship. Manuel is survived by two daughters, Virginia Jones, and her husband, Alvie, and Mary Kay McClure, and her husband, Bill, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Keith Bingham, and his wife, Patsy, of Lebanon, Missouri; two granddaughters, Kendra England, and her husband, Nathan, of Ozark, Missouri, and Kacie McClure, of Marshfield, Missouri; a grandson, Kyle Bingham, of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Romie J. Bingham, and his wife, Irene, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Cleo Bingham, and his wife, Shirley, of Bettendorf, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in the Oakland community area. After he and Anna Mae were married they made their home on the farm in Laclede County and raised their children. For most of his life, Manuel worked as a cattle farmer and also worked in the timber industry. Manuel followed the Free Will Baptist faith throughout the years. He enjoyed having his family help him with his work and especially making molasses. He also liked being outdoors where he enjoyed working in his garden, fishing, hunting, particularly coon hunting, and searching for arrowheads. Manuel will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2007, in the New Home Cemetery, near Falcon. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
