Margaret Ann Ghan's Obituary
Margaret Ann Ghan, daughter of Julian and Vada Coday Davis, was born March 13, 1933, in Wright County, Missouri. After being in Cox Medical Center South, in Springfield, Missouri, for seventeen days, she departed this life on Thursday, November 30, 2006, at the age of seventy-three years, eight months, and seventeen days. On February 21, 1963, she was united in marriage to William W. Ghan, and to this union one son was born. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, John Davis. Margaret is survived by her loving husband of forty-three years, William, of the home; a son, Chris Ghan, and his wife, Kara, of Marshfield, Missouri; two grandsons, Joseph and James Ghan; a brother, George Davis, and his wife, Betty, of Mansfield, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was raised in the Mansfield community and graduated from Mansfield High School in the Class of 1951. She worked in Springfield, Missouri for one year, and then was employed by Se-Ma-No Electric for forty-six years, retiring in 1998, as office manager and bookkeeper. Throughout the years, Margaret was also a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. Margaret made her formal profession of faith in Christ and was baptized into the Mansfield United Methodist Church. She and Bill were also members of the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter #1218. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, and canning. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandsons. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friend Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2006, in the Methodist Church, Mansfield. Burial will be in the Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 7 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Mansfield, Missouri. Memorials to the American Cancer Society may be made through the funeral home.
