Margaret Griffitts' Obituary
Margaret Mae Griffitts, age 87, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away at 1:40pm, Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Parkview Healthcare Facility in Bolivar, Missouri after a long illness. She was born January 18, 1921 in Pleasant Hope, Missouri to Horace Dayton Cribbs and Nora Mae Howard Cribbs. She was a Homemaker and a Cook for many restaurants in the area for over 30 years. She was a member of the Brighton Baptist Church in Brighton, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband; Lawrence W. Griffitts on October 14, 1997 and a daughter; Judy Boyd, a grandson; Kevin Griffitts, a great grandson; Jeffrey Griffitts, two brothers; Junior Cribbs, Newton Cribbs and two sisters; Irene Francka and Wilma Isdell. Margaret is survived by her daughter; Sherryl Ramey and her husband Phil of Bolivar, Missouri, two sons; Larry Griffitts and his wife Anna Lea of Morrisville, Missouri, Rick Griffitts and his wife Teresa of Bolivar, Missouri, a sister; Wynema Woodmansee of Pleasant Hope, Missouri, 12 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. A Graveside service will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at the Brighton Cemetery in Brighton, Missouri with Reverend Gary Ankrom officiating, under the direction of the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri. Visitation will be from 5-6:30pm, Monday, December 8, 2008 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Greg Griffitts, Jeff Griffitts, David Herbert, Danny Herbert, Chris Hampton, Michael Hampton and Aaron Ramey. The family suggests contributions to the Citizens Memorial Hospice Program, 1500 N. Oakland Avenue, Bolivar, Missouri 65613.
