Margaret Mount's Obituary
Margaret S. Mount, daughter of John and Sadie Brown Brenner, was born November 1, 1938, in Jersey City, New Jersey. She departed this life Monday, July 17, 2006, in her home, near Phillipsburg, Missouri, after a long battle with ovarian cancer, at the age of sixty-seven years, eight months, and sixteen days. On December 7, 1968, she was united in marriage to Richard P. Mount, and together they shared the last thirty-seven years. She was preceded in death by her parents; a three month old son, Scott Alexander; a brother, George Brenner; and a sister, Dorothy Tapia. Marge is survived by her husband, Richard, of the home; three daughters, Susan Miller, of Palmdale, California, Tracy McCord, and her husband, Brian, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Jennifer Martin, and her husband, Chris, of Palmdale, California; six grandchildren, Nicole, Austin, Felicia, Kyle, Dyllan, and Claire; a brother, Arthur Brenner, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in Jersey City, and then lived in Jersey Shore, and Longbranch, New Jersey for a time. After she and Richard were married, they made their home in California for thirty years. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her family, Margaret also worked as a supervisor for I.T.T. for a number of years. In 1997, she and Richard moved to the Lebanon, Missouri area and made their home. Marge was an active member of St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Lebanon, where she enjoyed quilting, and being involved in the rummage sales, salad luncheons, and other fund raising events. She also served as a member of the Parish Council For Catholic Women. In September of 2005, she was inducted into the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph as an associate member. She dedicated her life to her family and her faith. Her smiles and enthusiasm for life will surely be missed. Marge was a loving and self-sacrificing wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2006, in St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church, Lebanon. Burial will be in the Calvary (Catholic) Cemetery. Rosary Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening with visitation to follow. Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society may be made through the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
