I am very sad to hear that she has left this life but am encouraged to know I'll be able to talk over old times again one day. Margaret was a lovely woman, always with a kind word, always thinking of others.
I remember going to the house several times when looking for Mike. You didn't just stop for a minute at the Pierce house. 9 times out of 10 Mike wasn't there but Dad (Joe) would meet you at the door. Then, depending on weather, you'd sit on the porch and have a talk. Mom (Margaret) would bring out some ice tea or lemonade then go back inside to finish dinner or such. After visiting a hour or so they would both come out in the yard to say goodbye as you drove off.
