Margaret Williams (Hartville)'s Obituary
Leila Margaret Nymeyer Williams, age 81, of Hartville, MO, passed away, Tuesday, January 2, 2018 in Gatesville, TX.
Margaret was born on September 27, 1936 in Carlsbad, NM, to the late James Ora Nymeyer and Mary Frances Burgess. She married Stephen Frank Williams Jr. on October 10, 1955 in Artesia, NM. He preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 2002. Margaret was a Sunday School teacher (toddlers) for 50 years. She loved gardening and canning. Margaret also loved making homemade ice cream, crocheting, and writing letters to friends and family. She was a member of the Laclede Electric Board for 15 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years; parents; brothers, Ora and Robert Nymeyer; and her grandson, Rodney Williams Peters.
Margaret is survived by her daughters, Sondra Ellyson and husband, Dirk of LaVernia, TX, and Sonya Barron and husband, Mike of Gatesville, TX; sons, Steve Williams and wife Karen of Red Oak, TX, Sterling Williams, of Loving, NM, and Stan Williams of Loving, NM; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; a sister Linda Gober and her husband Dwight of Odessa, TX; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and caring friend. We celebrate her wonderful life and will always cherish the many happy memories she helped create.
