Maria Anna Sellers (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Maria Anna Sellers was born February 14, 1935 in Kornwestheim, Germany to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. August Gaus. She passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Lebanon South Nursing and Rehab in Lebanon, Missouri. She was eighty-nine years, eight months and seventeen days of age.
Maria was raised in Germany during World War II and completed her education there. She met Bill Sellers while he was serving active duty in the United States Army and they were married in 1956. In 1957, they moved to the United States and with him being in the Army, they lived a variety of places in the United States, as well as France and Germany.
Maria was a wonderful, devoted military wife and took care of business on the home front. She was a terrific mom of two boys and made every home feel special, no matter where the military took them. Her favorite location to be stationed was France.
She had strong Catholic faith and loved God with all her heart.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Bill.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Sellers and his wife Sue of Lebanon, Missouri and Thomas Sellers of Tucson, Arizona; three grandsons, Mitch Sellers and his wife Kitty, Timothy Sellers and his wife Bianca and William Sellers and his wife Ivonee; and a granddaughter, Selina Sellers.
Maria was a very traditional and organized woman. She took care of things that needed to be done. Throughout her life, Maria was known for her unwavering dedication to her family, embodying the roles of a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother. Her home was a haven of warmth, love, and laughter, where countless memories were created and treasured.
Services for Maria Anna Sellers will be private.
