Marian was raised in Colchester, Illinois, and graduated from high school there. After her marriage to Don, they lived on a farm in Macomb, Illinois, where she lovingly raised her children. In 1962 the family moved to the Lake of the Ozarks, where they owned and operated Chimney Rock Resort and Pikey’s Beach Resort.
Marian made a profession of faith and was a member of the Camdenton Church of Christ.
In her spare time she loved to read and enjoyed cooking. She and Don were members of a motorcycle club and had fun square dancing. She played the piano and enjoyed sharing her musical talent. Most of all, time spent with family was precious to her.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
A memorial has been established to assist the family, and donations may left at the funeral home.
