Marie Kennedy's Obituary
Pearl Marie Kennedy, daughter of Robert William and Minnie Marie Seymour, was born April 26, 1939, in Davis City, Iowa. She departed this life Monday, December 6, 2010, in her home in Camdenton, Missouri, at the age of seventy-one years, seven months and ten days. On December 23, 1970, in Kansas City, Missouri, she was united in marriage to John Roy Kennedy. Together they shared nearly forty years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, John Kennedy, of the home; a daughter, Kim Edwards, and husband, Kelly, of Camdenton, Missouri; a grandson, Johnny Ray Miller, and companion, Trisha Boucher, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; two step-grandsons, Shane Edwards, and wife, Racheal, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, and Sam Edwards, and wife, Pauline, of West Memphis, Arkansas; four great-grandchildren, Timmy Sharp-Miller, Brandon James Miller, Lacy Nicole Miller and JohnEric Miller; seven step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Bette Rauch, of Decatur, Iowa, and Bobby George, of Fair Play, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Marie was raised in Iowa and later moved to Kansas City where she remained most of her adult life. After her marriage to John, they made their home in Orrick, Missouri, before moving to Camdenton in 1989. She worked as a cosmetology instructor for Alex and Angels in Kansas City and Lake University of Cosmetology in Camdenton. Marie loved making crafts. She especially enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, and sewing. She was a talented artist and enjoyed drawing most of all. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
