Marie Martin's Obituary
Marie Lillie Martin, daughter of Jepethy Ellisha and Dora Rogers Martin, was born, April 8, 1913 in Camden County, Missouri. She departed this life, Saturday, October 21, 2006 in St. John’s Hospital, Lebanon, Missouri at the age of ninety-three years, six months and thirteen days. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Mary Louise; two sisters, Ethel Scott and Annie Iliff and four brothers, Homer Martin, Lillard Martin, George Martin and Earl Martin. Survivors include two sisters, Lula Calvert of Camdenton, Missouri and Louise Scott and husband Roy of Macks Creek, Missouri; two nephews, Ernie Calvert and wife Jane of Camdenton, Missouri and William Earl Calvert and wife Nelda of Trenton, Michigan; three nieces, Charlotte Frederick and husband J.B. of Camdenton, Missouri, Judy Leap and husband Paul of Macks Creek, Missouri and Violet Howard and husband Gary of Preston, Missouri as well as other nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was born and raised on the family farm south of Camdenton. During her life she lived in various places in Missouri, Texas, California and Arizona, but spent many years in Sweet Springs, Missouri. She moved to Macks Creek two years ago. Marie was of the Baptist faith. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing and keeping her yard. She had always grown a big beautiful garden. The last garden she planted was at the age of ninety-one. Marie was a loving sister and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 23, 2006, in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Burial will be in Myetta Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
