Marie M. Williams, daughter of Lawrence and Bertha Graham Mc Fadin was born August 21, 1920 near Conway, Missouri. She departed this life November 21, 2013 in Odessa, Missouri at the age of 93 years and 3 months.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Gloria Smishek, three brothers, Joseph, Clarence and Homer Mc Fadin; three sisters, Helen Mc Fadin, Olivia Jean Beatie, and Ruby Lee Shockley, and one granddaughter, Kimberly.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Vivian Holton and her Husband, Don of Odessa, Missouri; two sons, Doug Mc Querter and his wife, Linda of Linn Creek, Missouri, Darwin Mc Querter and his wife, Lisa of Anoka Minnesota; seven grandchildren, Lori, Stacie, Matthew, Bethany, Valerie, and Douglas, eleven great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren; one sister, Mina Ruth Gossage of Gladstone, Missouri and a number nieces and nephews.
Marie lived her early years in the Conway community. She worked throughout her life as a bookkeeper, and many years for the Empire Gas Corporation.
She lived most of her life in Lebanon and meticulously maintained her home. She had attended the First Freewill Baptist Church, but for the last several years was a member of Second Baptist Church in Lebanon.
Marie loved her family and was proud of all their accomplishments. She enjoyed spending time with her family and also loved the time she spent with her church friends. Bingo and dominos were her favorite games and she spent many hours playing them with her family and friends. She was steadfast in her convictions and you never had to wonder where she stood on any given issue. Her self-reliant spirit and her trust and faith in God saw her through many of the ups and downs of life… and she always persevered in every trial.
We honor Marie today and salute her for a life well lived.
Memorial donations to the Second Baptist Church or First Freewill Baptist Church, may be made through the funeral home.
