Marilyn Campbell (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Marilyn Faye Campbell, daughter of Richard Ray and Pauline Francis Freeman Campbell, was born September 25, 1956, in Nebraska City, Nebraska. She departed this life Wednesday, July 24, 2019, in her home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-two years, four months, and twenty-nine days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Larry Campbell.
Marilyn is survived by a daughter, Joy Massey, of Springfield, Missouri; two step-children, Megan Teubner, and Dustin Rhoads, and his wife, Amanda, all of Lebanon, Missouri; three grandchildren, Tyler Couch, and his wife, Katy, Rylan Hoard, and Braden Mount, all of Springfield, Missouri; her step-grandchildren, Tessa Lake, and her husband, Jarrett, Joshua Jones, and his wife, Lisa, Caleb and Blake Rhoads; her step-great-grandchildren, Rayn Lake, Kinley Jones, Weston Jones, Stetsyn Rhoads, and Sydney Rhoads; three sisters, Linda Sanders, Donna Sparks, and her husband, Jefferson, and Teresa Ebert, all of Mountain Grove, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Mountain Grove, Missouri area, and attended Mountain Grove High School. She married Charles Massey, and this union was blessed with a daughter. Marilyn then married Bruce Dale Rhoads and they lovingly melded their families. She was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family and also worked as the receptionist for Dr. Carmichael for a number of years.
Marilyn had made her profession of faith in Christ and attended Emmanuel Chapel.
She enjoyed sewing, growing beautiful flowers, and tracing her family ancestry. She also loved her animals. She was an excellent cook and was especially well known for her chicken and noodles. She loved her family dearly and especially liked having time with her grandchildren.
Marilyn was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
