Marilyn Hendrickson's Obituary
Marilyn Moore (Newton) Hendrickson, daughter of William Arthur and Minta Moore Newton, was born July 31, 1922, in Spickard, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, July 15, 2007, in Foxwood Springs Nursing Home, in Raymore, Missouri, at the age of eighty-four years, eleven months, and fourteen days. On April 17, 1940, she was united in marriage to Lyle Newton Hendrickson, and to this union two daughters were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lyle, on February 4, 2002; her grandson, Corey Hendrickson Sullivan; and a sister, Nita Ellis. Marilyn is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Wischropp, of Raymore, Missouri, and Cynthia Hendrickson, and her husband, Greg Corbin, of Prairie Village, Kansas; two grandsons, Eric and Jeffrey Wischropp; three great-grandchildren, Aaron, Parker, and Mykaila; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was raised in the Trenton, Missouri community and was graduated from Trenton High School. After she and Lyle were married, they made their home in the Kansas City, Kansas area, where they lovingly raised their daughters. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, Marilyn also worked in a school cafeteria in Kansas City, Kansas for a few years. In 1985, she and Lyle moved to Lebanon, Missouri, and made their home. Shortly after Lyle’s passing in 2002, Marilyn moved to the Foxwood Springs Nursing Home in Raymore, Missouri. Marilyn had made her profession of faith in Christ and attended a Baptist church in Lebanon. She enjoyed going trout fishing at Bennett Spring, and liked crocheting in her spare time. Marilyn was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2007, in Resthaven Cemtery, Trenton, Missouri. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. in the Resthave Mortuary Chapel, Trenton, Missouri. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
