Marjorie May James (Urbana)'s Obituary
Marjorie May James, 98, passed away on December 26, 2024. She was born on September 26, 1926 in Monett, MO to Alvin and Dimple (McCormick) Parker.
Marjorie graduated High School in Indo, California in 1944. She was a devoted wife and mother and had great hospitality in welcoming people into her home. Her blackberry dumplings were to die for. She was united in marriage to Thelbert Thomas James and to this union five children were born, four of whom survive her. Thelbert would drive up and down the road and throw peanuts out the window of his car just to meet her. Marjorie and Thelbert accepted Christ in Tulare, CA in early 1950 by Bro. Johnny Carter.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Thelbert; her parents; one daughter, Dimple Darline White; and three grandsons, Brian, Lindsey, and Thomas L. She is survived by three sons, Lindsey, Alvin, and Larry; and one daughter, Sherley. She also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss her.
