Marjorie Miller's Obituary
Marjorie A. Miller, daughter of Michael and Theresa Burg (Wall) Schrekenhofer, was born August 22, 1921, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Friday, January 21, 2011, in her home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-nine years, four months, and twenty-nine days. Early in her life, she was united in marriage to Carl Miller, and they shared over twenty years before his passing. She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, George, Carl, Louis and Charles Schrekenhofer; and two sisters, Catherine Ann Jones, and Mary Elizabeth Freitik. Marjorie is survived by a sister, Dorothy Cologna, of Bremerton, Washington; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area and graduated from Lebanon High School. She then moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where she worked for the Hallmark Corporation for a number of years, and was a devoted homemaker to her husband. After retiring, she moved back to Lebanon, where she worked for the Crossroads Hallmark Store and then later for Wal Mart. Marjorie was an active member of St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Lebanon. She was always willing to help others, and was a very generous supporter of ?The Kitchen? in Springfield. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her nieces and nephews. Marjorie was a loving sister and aunt, and was a kind and caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
