Mark Allen Koehler (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Mark Allen Koehler, 64, of Humansville, Missouri, passed away on July 5, 2022 after being diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). Mark was born in Paola, Kansas on October 18, 1957 to Vernon and Dorothy Koehler. They raised him in Collins, Missouri where he attended and graduated from Weaubleau High School in 1975.
After graduating he started his own business, Koehler Construction, and also began running the family far. He took pride in being the 5th generation to operate the original homestead. Mark looked forward to passing it down to his children.
Mark was an avid hunter, rancher, and aviator. He took part in many hunts but mostly enjoyed hunting deer and turkey on his farm and hunting elk in Colorado and Idaho. He enjoyed sitting around the camp telling and listening to stories. When he could get away from the farm, he would load up the dirt bikes and RZR and head to Colorado to ride trails with his family. Mark's greatest joy was spending time with his children and watching them grow into responsible adults and enjoying life.
Mark was a mentor and an inspiration. He was always ready to offer guidance and help anyone in need. He loved his family unconditionally and will be deeply missed by all.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Dorothy Koehler. Mark is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dorilene Koehler, and their two children; Ryan (Alexis) Koehler and Kelli (Zachary) Keller.
Please join us celebrating his life on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Butler Funeral Home in Humansville, Missouri. Interment will be held at Brush Creek Cemetery following the celebration. Memorial donations may be made in Mark's name towards the ALS Association.
