Marlene Welch's Obituary
Marlene Faye Welch, daughter of Claude and Lorene Beal Wilson, was born July 23, 1961, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Saturday, May 28, 2011, in St. John?s Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of forty-nine years, ten months, and five days. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Kenneth and Bob Wilson. Marlene is survived by two sons, Daniel Blankenship, and Nicholas Welch, both of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Leslie Wilson, and his wife, Ollie, and Benny Wilson, all of Lebanon, Missouri; three sisters, Pauline Pruitt, of Phillipsburg, Missouri, Darlene West, and Claudine Waterman, both of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; her companion, Cliff Welch, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in Laclede County, Missouri. She then made her home in the Lebanon area for most of her life. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her family, Marlene also worked for the Copeland Corporation for several years. Marlene attended Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church during her early years. In her spare time she enjoyed being outdoors where she enjoyed fishing and working in her garden. She also liked to do crocheting projects. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed spending time with her sons. Marlene was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and companion, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout the years.
