Marolyn I. Taylor (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Marolyn Irene Taylor, daughter of Clarence L. and Esther Mann Thomas, was born August 8, 1939, near Camdenton, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, March 3, 2021, in Lebanon North Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-one years, six months, and twenty-five days.
On July 13, 1957, she was united in marriage to Paul Taylor, and to this union three daughters were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; a daughter, Paula Anthony; and two grandchildren, Alexandria Preiser, and Jude Asher Kellner.
Marolyn is survived by two daughters, April McDaniel, and her husband, James, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Terry Kellner, of Osage Beach, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Erin, Jessica, Amanda, Thomas, Rachel, Michelle, Waylon, Keith, and Logan; sixteen great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Dove community, and graduated from Lebanon High School. She married Paul when she was eighteen years old, and they briefly made their home in St. Louis, Missouri. They soon returned to Lebanon where they owned and operated Taylor’s Dairy Joy from 1972 until 1994. In addition to helping with the operation of the business, Marolyn was a devoted homemaker and loving mother.
Marolyn had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Dove Bible Church. She maintained her relationship with the Dove Church throughout her life.
In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and collecting dishes. Later in her life, she and Paul liked to travel. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marolyn was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she made for them during her lifetime.
