Marsha Turner's Obituary
Marsha Lea Turner, daughter of Martin Joseph, Jr. and Doris Irene (Todd) Smalley, was born November 18, 1952, in Gainesville, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, February 7, 2008, in Cox Medical Center South, of Springfield, Missouri, at the age of fifty-five years, two months, and nineteen days. On August 15, 1987 she was united in marriage to Thomas Wayne Turner and together they have shared the last twenty years. Her father preceded her in death. Marsha is survived by her husband, Tom, of the home; a daughter, Victoria Ussery, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; two grandchildren, Brandon Moore, and Glendon Ussery; her mother, Doris Smalley, of Hartville, Missouri; four sisters, Connie Hanrahan, Donna Worsham, Jackie Custer, and Cathy Dugger, all of Hartville, Missouri; a brother, Joe Smalley, of Grovespring, Missouri; her rottweiler, Sadie/Pooh; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was raised in the Pea Ridge community and moved at an early age to Kansas City with her family, where she attended area schools. After she met and married Tom they resided in both Oklahoma and Kansas City over the years, until moving to Hartville, in August of 1993. Her family was very important to her and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed singing and listening to music, reading, and in her younger years she loved being outdoors, camping and fishing. She also had a passion for animals, especially her dog. Marsha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will treasure the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends. Due to the weather, services will now be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2008, in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Hartville.
