Marshall B. Kanel (Seymour)'s Obituary
Marshall Kanel, age 79 passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019. Marshall was the son of the late Ralph & Mildred (Koby) Kanel and was born on January 22, 1940 in Rogersville, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Wanda Sue Davis on June 27, 1965.
Marshall joined the Navy at age 17 and served on the USS Intrepid. He retired from Paul Mueller Company after 37 years of employment. He worked as a metal fabricator/welder and later did field service work. After retirement he enjoyed going for “afternoon tea” with the guys at the coffee shop.
Preceding him in death were his parents Ralph & Mildred Kanel; a nephew Rex Kanel; a sister-in-law Billie Ruth Kanel and a sister Ellen Brookman.
Marshall is survived by his wife Wanda; three children, son Erick Kanel and his wife Melissia of Seymour, son Jeremy Kanel and his wife Darlene of Marshfield, daughter Martie Young and husband Roland of Springfield and three grandchildren Andrew Kanel and significant other Jane Broman of Dallas, Texas, Samantha Kanel of Seymour and Devon Kanel of Marshfield; three brothers Ronnie Kanel of Seymour, George Kanel and his wife Sue of Seymour and Max Kanel and his wife Joan of Springfield, Missouri as well as several nieces, nephews and his beloved cat Zula.
In lieu of plant and flowers, memorial contributions may be left at the funeral home for the Southwest Missouri Humane Society.
