Marshall Williams (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Marshall Junior Williams, son of Marshall and Annabelle Shivers Williams, was born May 11, 1935, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Saturday, June 6, 2015, in Onslow Memorial Hospital, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, at the age of eighty years, and twenty-five days.
On May 14, 1955, he was united in marriage to Bonnie Grace Evans, and to this union two daughters and two sons were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers, Raymond, Calvin, Marian, Ivan, Francis, Willy, and an infant; and six sisters, Zelfie, Rosie, Sithie, Thelma, Irene, and Hazel.
Junior is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Bonnie, of the home; two daughters, Angela Richardson, and her husband, Dennis, and Vicki Williams, all of Richlands, North Carolina; two sons, Denny Williams, of Worthington, Indiana, and Greg Williams, and his wife, Rhonda, of Hartford City, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Duane, Chad, Summer, Nicholas, Brittani, Casey, and Taylor; fifteen great-grandchildren, Blake, Adesa, Caleb, Tierra, Jailynn, Alexis, Chase, Hunter, Gracie, Briseis, Kynslee, Lucas, Loran, Kyle, and Destiny; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Lebanon, and then moved to Indiana. After he and Bonnie were married, they made their home in Hartford City, Indiana, and lovingly raised their family. Junior worked for a meat processing plant in Muncie, Indiana for twenty-seven years before retiring. In the 1990’s, he and Bonnie moved to Lebanon, Missouri, and enjoyed their retirement years.
Junior was an active member of the Assembly of God Church in Indiana, and was currently attending Ozark Hills Baptist Church near Lebanon.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where he liked fishing and camping. He also enjoyed making fishing lures and doing lawn care during his retirement. He always had a positive attitude and a kind heart. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Junior was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his eighty years.
A memorial has been established and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
