Martha Hensley (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Martha Hensley 95, of Morrisville Missouri died Sunday, December 18, 2016, at her daughter's home. She was born in Aldrich, Missouri, July 11, 1921 one of seven children born to Rome and Ethel Mitchell.
She grew up in the Aldrich community, completed 8th grade at Orleans Rural School, in May, 1935, and completed high school at Marion C. Early School, in May, 1940. Martha married Paul Hensley on April 20, 1940, in the home of C.W. Dorman. To this union was born Robert Hensley, Bolivar, and Sue Euliss, Morrisville.
She was a member of Bolivar Calvary Baptist Church. She so loved her extended family, her church.
Martha constantly demonstrated her love and dedication serving as mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She taught Sunday School all her life, and at the same time spent many years as a 4- H community leader in the Collins and Morrisville area. In later years, she worked at Bolivar Garment factory and Teters Floral factory.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Rome and Ethel Mitchell, husband Paul, Grandson Russ and step-son Kenneth, brothers Jerome and Norwood, sisters Margaret McCarty and Louise Edor.
She is survived by her son Robert Hensley, and wife Kay; daughter, Sue Euliss, and husband Jerry; six grandchildren, Bryan Hensley, and wife Recca, Kelly Rainy, and husband Shane, Brad Euliss, and wife Diana, Annette Turner, and husband John, Cindy Gentry, Connie Lang, and husband Scott; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; her sister Cleora Rowan, and brother Donald Mitchell; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 am, on Thursday, December 22, 2016, at the Butler Funeral Home, in Bolivar.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, on Thursday, December 22, 2016, at the Butler Funeral Home, in Bolivar, with Pastor Robert Bryan Hensley officiating. Burial will follow the funeral, and take place in Enon Cemetery, near Wishart, Missouri.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the CMH Hospice, care of Butler Funeral Home.
