Martha Lucas (Hartville)'s Obituary
Martha Louise Lucas, daughter of Robert Richard and Margaret Louise Dykes Horton, was born March 10, 1948, in Springfield, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, January 12, 2014, in her daughter’s home, Phillipsburg, Missouri, at the age of sixty-five years, ten months, and two days.
On December 12, 1983, Martha was united in marriage to Orrien Lucas and together they have shared the past thirty years.
Her parents; her grandmother, who was like a mother to her, Ellen Dykes; a son, John Wayne Inskeep, Jr.; and the father of her children, John Wayne Inskeep, Sr., preceded Martha in death.
She is survived by her husband, Orrien Lucas, of the home; children, Mary Grady and husband Kenneth, of Phillipsburg, Missouri; Barbara Rabideau of St. Robert, Missouri; Linda Wilder and husband Bill, of Hartville, Missouri; and daughter-in-law, Kimberly Inskeep of Lebanon, Missouri; grandchildren, Jeffrey Bowling, Micheal Grady, Jack Grady, Tony Lucas Inskeep, Misty Inskeep, Tabitha Inskeep, James Rabideau, and Brian Rabideau; great-grandchildren, Trent and Cali Bowling, Peyton and Mason Grady, Jonathan Rabideau, and Aiyana Lucas Inskeep; a number of stepchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
Martha was born in Springfield and spent most of her life living in the Hartville area. She was ordained as a minister with the Lighthouse Gospel Fellowship on April 20, 2005, and was actively involved with many women’s ministries throughout the area.
In her spare time, Martha enjoyed fishing and visiting with friends and family.
Martha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends.
Memorial contributions to Mercy Hospice at Lebanon or American Cancer Society can be made through the Funeral Home.
