Martha F. Ruble (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Martha Farley Ruble, daughter of Leonard and Mary Farley Yates, was born August 13, 1917, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She departed this life Monday, October 1, 2012, in Christian Health Care North, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-five years, one month, and eighteen days.
On July 3, 1936, she was united in marriage to George Devola Ruble, and to this union five daughters and eight sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George, on January 6, 1971; two sons, Leonard and Arlis Ruble; and a granddaughter, Jovanna Ruble.
Martha is survived by five daughters, Georgia Porter, of Lebanon, Missouri, Mary Martin, and her husband, Vern, of Glendale, Arizona, Judith Porter, of Lebanon, Missouri, Helen Wheeler, of Lebanon, Oregon, and Diana Myers, of Yakima, Washington; six sons, Jack Ruble, of Eugene, Oregon, Leland Ruble, and his wife, Mary, of Lebanon, Missouri, Kenneth Ruble, and his wife, Barbara, of Lebanon, Missouri, Luke Ruble, and his wife, CeAnn, of Nixa, Missouri, Russell Ruble, of Ozark, Arkansas, and Hobert Ruble, and his wife, Annette, of Lebanon, Missouri; forty grandchildren; seventy-five great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born in Oklahoma, and was raised in the Brownsville, Missouri, area. She attended White Rock School, and then Houston High School in Houston, Missouri. After she and George were married, they made their home in the Lebanon, Missouri area and lovingly raised their children. Throughout the years, Martha was a devoted and hard working homemaker to her husband and family.
Martha was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lebanon.
In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, making quilts, and doing embroidery work. She also liked collecting dolls. She loved her family dearly, and always made sure that each of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren had something she had created for them each Christmas.
Martha was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her long life and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends.
