On January 12, 1982 he was united in marriage to Karen Calhoun and to this union two children were born. He was preceded in death by his mother, brother, Gary Allen, nephew, Tony Cornelius, and his parents-in-law, Robert and Betty Calhoun. Marvin is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Brandon, of Mansfield; daughter, Chasity Dugger and husband, Rick, of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Colby, Allie, and Braxton Dugger, Corbin and Kayley Olive; father, Doyle Olive and wife, Bonnie, of Asher, Oklahoma; four sisters, Becky Honeycutt and husband, Bruce, of Seymour, Rhonda Dixon and husband, Earl, of Mansfield, Deann Cornelius of Mansfield, Vicky Duck and husband, Robert, of Konawa, Oklahoma; brother, Steve Olive and wife, Patty, of Urbana; two brothers-in-law, Rick Calhoun of Strafford and David Reberry and wife, Cindy, of Wilmington, North Carolina; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many, many friends. He was born in California and moved with his parents and siblings to Mansfield in 1970. He graduated from Mansfield High School in the Class of 1976. Marvin proudly served our country in the United States Marines being honorably discharged in August of 1978. He then moved to Oklahoma where he was a horse jockey and was very proud of that. In late 1989 he returned to Mansfield with his wife and children and started his career as an iron worker. He had been with D and M Steel Erectors for over 20 years. In his spare time, he greatly enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a fishing coach for the Mansfield High School Fishing Team. But more than anything he loved being with his grandchildren. Marvin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin and a caring neighbor and friend. We are deeply saddened by this unexpected loss, but we had many wonderful times together that we will always cherish.
