Mary Louise Alsin (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Mary Louise Alsin, daughter of Lewis Jeter and Bernice Wollensack-Jeter, was born on September 15, 1931 in Afton, Iowa and departed this life on March 30, 2023 in Camdenton, Missouri. At the time of her passing, Mary Lou was ninety-one years, six months and fifteen days of age.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald C. Alsin; her sister, Monica Jeter; and her parents, Lewis and Bernice Jeter.
She is survived by her son, Timothy & wife Kris Alsin; daughter, Deborah Wiles; grandchildren, Colt Wiles and Rizza Rulloda, Corinn and husband Cyle Kitchen, Jason and wife Brehanna Alsin; one sister, Anna Navin; and one brother, Gene Jeter. Mary Lou also leaves behind many great-grandchildren, friends and other family members who will all truly miss her.
Mary Lou was born in Afton, Iowa, where she completed high school. On May 7, 1955, in Des Moines, Iowa, Mary Lou was united in marriage to Ronald Carl Alsin; together, they shared forty-four years of marriage until his passing in 1999. Later in life, she returned to college, attending Lincoln University, where she would obtain her bachelor’s degree in business.
She attended Our Savior Lutheran Church where she dedicated her life to Christ.
In her spare time, Mary Lou enjoyed sewing, travelling, boating, reading, puzzles, knitting and crocheting. Mary Lou was very devoted to Habitat for Humanity, serving on the board of directors. During her working career, Mary Lou was the owner of Bowling Electric Machinery, Inc.
She was a loving mother, sister, daughter, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for family and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 3 at 2 p.m. in Our Saviors Lutheran Church of Camdenton, Missouri. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will be in Laughlin Cemetery in Camdenton.
