Mary Ann Griffin's Obituary
Mary Ann Griffin, daughter of Richard and Sue Prock Mahan, was born July 6, 1959, in Wichita, Kansas. She departed this life Friday, June 8, 2007, in her home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of forty-seven years, eleven months, and two days. On June 17, 1990, she was united in marriage to Phillip S. Griffin, and together they shared the last seventeen years. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Autumn Renee Garner; and a brother, Richard Kevin Mahan. Mary is survived by her husband, Phillip, of the home; three daughters, Joann Garner, and her husband, Robert, Diedra Jobert, and Elisha Miller, and her husband, Patrick, all of Lebanon, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Ryan and Destiny Blair, Siera Nekola, Mykala, Zacharie, and Elizabeth Miller, Brandon and Breann Kenfield, Kali Garner, and Robert Garner II; her father, Richard Mahan, and his wife, Suzanne, of Medford, Oklahoma; her mother, Sue Coleman, and her husband, Clell, of Lebanon, Missouri; three brothers, Keith Mahan, and his wife, Kim, of Lebanon, Missouri, Bill Mahan, and his wife, April, of Manhattan, Kansas, and Toby Mahan, of Wichita, Kansas; three sisters, Tammie Berrier, of Lebanon, Missouri, Sherry Kleinow, and her husband, Lew, of Richland, Missouri, and Tina Mahan, of Wichita, Kansas; a step-brother, Dean Coleman, of Lebanon, Missouri; two step-sisters, Kay Rector, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Vera Howe, of Camdenton, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Paul Griffin, of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Peggy Randolph, of Lebanon, Missouri; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lee and Bonnie Griffin, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in Kansas and then moved with her family to the Plato community, where she attended junior high school. The family then moved to Lebanon, where she graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1977. Throughout the years, she was a devoted homemaker to her family and also worked at Tracker Marine for eight years. Mary had attended Community Baptist Church near Lebanon. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, swimming, and reading. She possessed a delightful sense of humor and was always willing and wanting to help others. Her family was the most important part of her life and she especially enjoyed caring for and playing with her grandchildren. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and niece, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery, near Russ, Missouri. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 - 5:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
