Mary Baird (Seymour)'s Obituary
Mary “Mag” Baird passed away June 5th after a brief illness surrounded by family at her home in Seymour. She was born March 20, 1929 in Ozark, Missouri. She is preceded in death by her husband Burrel, a son David, a granddaughter Misty Lane, her parents, two brothers, and three sisters. Mag is survived by Sandy and Richard Cornelison of Seymour, Randy and Karen Baird of Fordland, Darrel Baird of Fair Play, Debbie and Matt Jackson of Rogersville, Terrie Lane of Seymour, and Rhonda and Dan Foster of Rogersville. Ten grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. A sister Sue Harbour of California, several nieces, nephews, and many caring friends.
Mag enjoyed going to her church activities at the First Christian Church of Seymour. She also enjoyed painting quilt blocks, word search puzzles and watching the birds and squirrels out her front window. She helped out on the farm, from milking cows to helping in the hay fields. She greatly enjoyed her grandkids and great grandkids, especially when they were younger so she could hold them and rock them to sleep.
Her last few weeks were spent at Parkview Healthcare facility in Bolivar, Missouri receiving rehab from an accidental fall. There she made friends and really enjoyed the peacocks peeking in her window. Mag was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt, and caring friend. We celebrate her wonderful life and will always cherish the many happy memories she created.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First Christian Church of Seymour building fund.
