Mary P. Brackett (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Mary Patricia Brackett of Falcon, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was born January 23, 1982 to Jimmy Appleberry and Christina Wenitschka Appleberry in Chicago Heights, Illinois. At the time of her passing, Mary was forty-one years, two months and twenty-one days.
Mary and her family moved to Missouri while she was young and she attended school in Fair Grove, Lebanon and Conway. Following high school, she went to work for Marine Electric. She also worked as a caregiver, worked at Baker Creek as a gardener and at Robert’s Cattle Company.
On May 1, 2010, she married Jerry Brackett and together they raised two sons and a daughter. Jerry was her true love and they enjoyed being together. It is said that she ‘kept him in order’.
She had a very outspoken personality. She loved to have fun and had a terrific sense of humor. You always knew how she felt about any particular topic. She loved her family dearly and would do anything for them.
Mary was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Appleberry; her paternal and maternal grandparents; her sister-in-law, JoJo Brackett; and several aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Brackett of the home, her daughter, Kamea Grimes of Competition, Missouri; her sons, Tyler Appleberry of Lebanon, Missouri, Aaron Grimes and his wife Destiny of Competition, Missouri; her mother, Christina Appleberry of Lebanon, Missouri; her brother, James Appleberry of Lebanon, Missouri; her sisters, Becky Teubner and her husband, Jerry, Shannon Appleberry, and Stephanie Tidwell and her husband, Andy, all of Lebanon, Missouri, and Heather Appleberry of Springfield, Missouri; and two grandchildren, Jessi and Arlo; and her mother and father-in-law, Johnny and Frieda Brackett of Lebanon, Missouri; and her brothers-in-law, David and Mike Brackett.
When she wasn’t working, Mary enjoyed trout fishing and sewing. Most of all, she loved spending time with family. She was excited to be a Nana and spoiling them every chance she got!
She was loved by family and friends and she will be missed so much. While her family knows she was taken far too soon, they will be thankful for the memories they have of her and will lean on the support of family and friends as they navigate the coming days.
